We were able to install MicroPython on the Bit and connect the Bit to CircuitBlocks in order for my son to practice coding his own games. However, we are having an issue. We can either have the Bit to basic factory restore where he can play the downloaded games and the games from the robots, or we can play the games downloaded from CircuitBlocks. But we have been unable to successfully have both. Anyone have the same issue and found a solution?
Hi @JennyMullen127,
thank you for reaching out.
Unfortunately, you can’t have both the stock firmware and upload your own examples onto the device at the same time.
We will be working on a solution for that in the future, but in the meantime, you will need to restore the firmware when you want to play the games that come with the device (and the ones that come with the Wacky Robots).
Best,
Sandi
Just so you know I also find this very frustrating
just so you know, bit features an ESP-32S3 which can be programmed to run anything if you can handle the code yourself. It can even run ESP32 Marauder for Wifi Penetration Testing
Hello.
I found this frustrating too.
So I have created custom firmware that allows easy switching to MicroPython.
