Is it possible to add a mike, speaker, camera & the necessary programming to the Chatter 2.0 to give it more of a ‘off-grid phone’ than a off-grid texter?
To be honest, we didn’t originally design Chatter 2.0 with those specific features in mind, we focused on making it the ultimate off grid texter. However, since the device is open source and modular, there is always room for mad scientist experiments!
Adding a microphone, speaker, and camera would definitely require some serious hardware hacking and custom library coding, but if you manage to pull it off, we would absolutely love to see your creation. Building a custom off grid phone from our base would be a legendary project!
