Hey everyone! I just got two Beep Boop units and I’m looking to mod them — specifically to add more game levels and extra songs. I have a coding background and noticed CircuitMess has open-sourced firmware for other devices like Bit and ByteBoi on GitHub.
Does anyone know if the Beep Boop firmware is available? Also curious what toolchain people are using and what format the audio assets are stored in. Happy to share whatever I end up building!
It’s awesome to hear that you’ve already got two Beep Boop units and are looking to dive into the code! We love that “maker” energy, especially since you’ve already explored our open-source firmware for Bit and ByteBoi.
However, I have to let you know that, unlike some of our other kits, the Beep Boop product line is not open-source. Because of this, we aren’t able to provide or share any hardware or software documentation, toolchains, or asset formats related to this specific product. We truly apologize for any disappointment this causes, as we know how fun it is to mod these devices. CircuitMess Team
