Hey @cat2017,
thank you for reaching out.
It appears that we are experiencing a problem while using a newer version of Arduino. Our software team will investigate what is causing this issue and create new instructions for it, and we will contact you with more information in the coming days.
Thank you for your patience,
Monika
Okay thanks for helping.
Hi @cat2017,
We checked, and unfortunately, it is not possible to use Arduino IDE 2.0 with our devices due to a bug that must be resolved on their end.
Please use the 1.0 version available here under legacy IDE:https://www.arduino.cc/en/software
Best,
Monika
Okay thank you for telling me.
I just tried on Arduino IDE 2.0.3 on macOS and I got the boards to display normally…
I’m not on the latest version though which is 2.3.0. I wonder is it because of the version or the OS.
Note: I just updated to 2.3.0 and still have the board but it might be that it’s left over because I installed it previously…
Edit: I just tried 2.3.0 on Windows 11 23H2 arm version and it works normally…
It is arm though but it’s running x64 software through compatibility layer so it should be identical to the native x64 Windows 11.
I’m using https://raw.githubusercontent.com/CircuitMess/Arduino-Packages/master/package_circuitmess.com_esp32_index.json
as board url
Hi,
thank you for letting us know. it seems that the issue was resolved on their end. We’re glad that you were able to make it work!
Best,
Sandi
Can I find technical details about which chip is being used on the board, or the source code for the simple games. Has any game been published as open source ?
