Meaning of Arduino IDE error message

I’m getting the following message from Arduino IDE when I try to Verify/Compile a simple program:

Board ringo (platform esp32, package cm) is unknown

Error compiling for board Ringo by CircuitMess.

I have board “Ringo by Circuitmess” installed.
I have library “Ringo by Circuitmess Library” installed.

What am I missing?

Well, apparently I’ll never know the answer because I updated Arduino IDE from version 1.8.5 to version 1.8.10 and the error message went away on its own.

We all do love Arduino veeeeery much!

Especially when it fixes problems like that for no apparent reason.

On the other hand, when it creates them, then not so much… :frowning:
