Byteboi SD Card Not Working - How to replace?

My son received a byteboi as a present. Enjoyed building it and everything was good, but the SD had issues and most of the games wouldn’t load. Tried reformatting the SD card and then loading the games from github. But the byteboi shows no sd card on the menu. What am I missing?
