Can not connect to Device under Linux (ByteBoi)

Hi

i was trying to setup the Byteboi for testing under Linux Fedora 39, and it is the only operating system i have at home.
i was reading on the community and you mentioned to other users that they can use google chrom without the agent, however i used chrom and edge but unfortunately both of them give the same error. can not connect to device.

i tried

  1. reconnect device to another usb port.
  2. try another cable

both ended with the same error howver both edge and chrom recognize the usb device once it is connectet.

please advise

Thank you @jwelayeb!

Our software team will take a look and get back to you shortly.

Did the team resolve this issue? I am having the same issue with my byteboi. I have verified that I can open a serial connection to the USB serial device using python from a terminal, but I cannot connect to it using your code.circuitblocks site. I’m using chromium-browser.

I’ve also tried using webserial.io to connect to the device, and that successfully opens a connection to the serial port.

Additionally, I’ve tried using google-chrome-stable browser and it gives the same connection error.

I also tried connecting the Bit and have the same issue. I can see and select the new serial port for the Bit, but it fails to connect.
