I can connect with the Byteboi to the computer successfully, but once I start the Micropython install it wills start the Byteboi screen blanks for about 40 seconds, then boots back into the game interface. My expectation is that with the python installed that it should remain blank? The Micropython install hangs and eventually times out and kicks back to the screen saying that it isn’t installed (Micropython).
Any thoughts on where to take this? I am stumped. I have used multiple cables. I get the same results on attempting to restore the original firmware.
I’ve been having this same issue, is there a fix yet? i keep going around in circles when contact the support team about this issue, have the same on the wheelson car
Hello Konstantin, Shawn and TJLavigne!
I have 2 sections that may resolve your problems.
Here is the 1st section:
First things first, verify that your USB connection is alright. If it is, then try a diffrent USB cable, make sure you connect DIRECTLY to the PC otherwise if you connect to a USB Hub it may not recognize it.
Second things second, check your batteries. If your batteries are dead then that can be the cause of the power off.
Third things third, disconnect your byteboi from your PC. Open a Command Prompt window and run the command: mode (it may say that you cant run the command, just run the command prompt as administrator to solve that issue) then connect your byteboi and run mode. If you see a new COM that means you are getting recognized and your browser is having some issues.
Here is the 2nd section:
Are you connecting trough a USB Hub? Just know that some hubs dont work on code.circuitmess.com and you cant flash the firmware if its connected trough a hub. Try this!
Use a different cable
Why: Sometimes a cable fails and cant work with code.circuitmess.com
Try connecting to a different USB
Why: The USB sometimes cant work with code.circuitmess.com
