Tried to put together the kit, but when doing the step 12 functionality test, the screen didn’t work. The lights are working, but there’s no text. here are the pictures(ill put the back in the next post because there’s a limit):

You appear to have bridged two of the pins on the display connector. On your third photo, it is the first two pins you can see in front of the chip. Touch it with a soldering iron to remove that bit of extra solder and try again

I agree, the bridged pins are most likely causing problems here.
