I bought the Makerbuino for my middle son a few years ago, from Maplin, just before it shut down…
Fast forward to a few weeks ago when I did my first project - modding the RF-Modulator on a couple of ZX Spectrums. (It’s a very simple job!) Enthused, I fished out the Makerbuino but, before getting started, asked my youngest son (13) if he would like to help me build it. Yes!
It took us just two evenings to finish it, alternating the soldering, and celebrating the functional test and the final test with a couple of high-fives. Seems like we managed not to make a mess of it… It’s the most fun we have had together… ever!
Looking forward to doing some simple programming now…
