I made it to page 55 of the manual, but it appears my A01 piece does not match the manual or video. The top portion of the back where I am to solder the prongs is covered in the white plastic material. The solder cannot adhere to this because it is supposed to be directly onto metal. Am I supposed to remove this film or is there a mistake in the manufacturing of this component?
I’m sorry to hear you’ve hit a roadblock on page 55! You’ve made great progress so far, and we definitely want to get you past this step. It sounds like there might be a manufacturing anomaly or a protective layer that shouldn’t be there. To help us give you the right advice (and to avoid damaging the board), could you please send us some detailed photos from multiple anglesand a short video clip showing the component?
